Internal JO/Qual call Notes: Job Description Position Summary: J.Jill is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst / Scrum Master to join our Financial Systems team. This hybrid role is ideal for a professional who thrives in both analytical and agile environments. You will lead small to mid-sized projects, facilitate agile ceremonies, and work closely with stakeholders to enhance and support our financial systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis with hands-on experience in agile methodologies and tools like Jira. Key Responsibilities: Business Analyst (60%)
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
  • Lead the design and implementation of enhancements to financial systems (e.g., ERP, budgeting, reporting tools).
  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and groom the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
  • Work through Jira to triage, track, and resolve system defects and enhancement requests.
  • Support UAT planning, execution, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Scrum Master (40%)
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews for one or more agile teams.
  • Coach team members on agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Remove impediments and shield the team from external distractions.
  • Track and report on sprint metrics and team performance.
  • Coordinate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial systems.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a hybrid BA/SM role.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes (e.g., GL, AP, AR, budgeting, forecasting).
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday) is a plus.
