Job Description

Reports To: Vice President of Engineering

Overall Purpose:

As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will lead the engineering team and design large, complex agricultural structures, including grain storage, handling, and conditioning equipment with multiple stories, walkways, electrical/mechanical systems, and tall products.

Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes:

• Design Process & Project Management (90%): Perform structural design and analysis, create layouts, produce drawings, review modeling results, and coordinate design projects.
• Sales & Customer Support (10%): Provide technical support, product presentations, and training to customers and sales teams.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in structural steel design; experience in agricultural or industrial projects preferred.
• PE certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, codes (AISC, IBC, ASCE 7, OSHA), and experience with RISA, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, organization, and ability to work independently.

Additional Information:

Work primarily in an office environment with occasional site visits requiring PPE. Up to 10% travel, possibly international. Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and climb structures may be needed.
