Exciting Breast Surgery Opportunity - Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York (75 miles north of NYC)

Vassar Brothers Medical Center, now part of Nuvance Health and located in Poughkeepsie, New York, just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking an additional fellowship trained Breast Surgeon to join its multi-disciplinary practice and growing system program under the leadership of Susan K. Boolbol, M.D. Recent graduates and fellows, including 2023 graduates, welcome to apply.Our breast surgeons are an integral part of the overall strategy for the Nuvance Health Cancer Institute, which spans our larger 7 hospital system in western Connecticut and eastern New York. Poughkeepsie is located in the suburban Mid-Hudson Valley region of New York, about 75 miles outside New York City. Generous sign-on bonus and relocation allowance provided. We will have a breast fellowship program beginning in 2024.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in general surgery with fellowship training in breast surgery. Candidates should have strong clinical and interpersonal skills. The position includes teaching to residents and medical students as well as participation in breast tumor boards. Our model of care is multi-disciplinary, integrated and collaborative among all system hospitals. We are accredited by the COC and NAPBC. The team includes Medical Oncologists, Surgical and Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, Radiologists, Reconstructive Plastic Surgeons and medical subspecialties. We have a cohesive team of employed physicians and allied health providers, including dieticians, genetic counselors, research coordinators, social workers and navigators that function in a comprehensive and integrated model of care that is patient centered. The Nuvance Health Cancer Institute is a member of NRG and has a robust clinical trials office including phase one trials, and strong collaboration with PhD's, physician scientists and dedicated research coordinators.

$350,000-$750,000 Annually
