Job Description :

NYU Grossman School of Medicine, part of NYU Langone Health, is seeking a dynamic, full-time, entry level/mid-level attending in the Division of Breast Surgery. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills as well as an interest in surgical education. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate interested in being part of a busy and growing practice in Manhattan, New York.

Faculty members within the Division must be committed to the tripartite mission of the department and school of medicine: clinical excellence, education, and innovative research. Faculty members are expected to participate regularly in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. A commitment to a broad array of research interests is desirable, including but not limited to clinical, outcomes, health services, basic science, translational, ethics, education, or global surgery. Additionally, faculty are expected to participate in hospital-wide committees. Candidates should be team-oriented and able to interact well with colleagues inside and outside the division.

Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to service, a track record of achievement in their field, and an interest in fulfilling the department's goals. Candidates must also:

  • Hold Board Certification in General Surgery and be eligible for NYS Licensure
  • Be fellowship-trained in Breast Surgery
  • Provide clinical care including diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination, along with preventive health services
  • Implement and enforce clinical policies in collaboration with leadership to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Supervise assigned or other advanced practice providers at the clinical site
  • Assist with training, orientation, and clinical support for new providers and staff
  • Supervise residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers within the division
  • Provide academic mentorship to division attendings, residents, fellows, and staff
  • Support research objectives across various fields such as clinical, outcomes, or global surgery
  • Foster a professional, collaborative work environment
