Breaker Assistant Coach and Team Coordinator - The National Council of Young Men’s Christian Associations of the United States of America : Job Details

The Ridgewood Breakers Swim Team seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach and Team Coordinator to support our swimmers and team. The Assistant Coach and Team Coordinator will report directly to the VP of Aquatics/Director of Competitive Swimming and work closely with them to provide high-quality training, technique instruction, and motivation to our swimmers. The central component of this role will be developing our team program, supporting our swimmers' development and goals across various age groups, and assisting with backend organization and meet operations. It is ideal for someone passionate about working with all athletes, from the youngest of athletes to our highly competitive seniors, in a positive and encouraging environment.

· Previous competitive swimming or coaching experience preferred.

· USA Swimming Coaching Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).

· Strong knowledge of stroke mechanics, training techniques, and swimmer development.

· Ability to work effectively with young athletes, parents, and fellow coaches.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for meets as needed.

· CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).
