Job Summary: Under the direction of the Teacher of the Visually Impaired, is responsible for supporting the educational process. Please refer to attached job description for specific responsibilities. Position to begin in September, 2025. Salary Range: $35.04 - $39.90 Braillist Assistant per 2024-25 Public School Employees Salary Schedule Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation. Work Schedule:
  • Shift: Monday through Friday, hours are TBD depending on level of support on any given day
  • Paid Hours: 6.0 hours per day
  • Lunch Break: 30 minutes unpaid break
  • Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time off during spring break, winter break and summer plus 10 paid holidays
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • AA degree required.
  • State certification in United English Braille (UEB).
  • Washington State Driver's License.
  • Blood Borne Pathogen Training.
  • Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
