Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty and staff, ensuring timely support and effective use of campus learning resources. This position requires adaptability, cross-training, and a student-centered mindset. - High school diploma required. Post-secondary training in business, library services, or a related field preferred.
- At least one year of experience in retail and/or library.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite preferably Word and Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and operate a forklift or hand-jack (training provided if needed).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across service areas.
Work Performed
- Bookstore Operations
- Process sales (cash, card, online) and maintain accurate POS records.
- Maintain merchandise displays and ensure adequate stock of books, supplies, and branded materials.
- Receive, verify, and shelve shipments. Process returns and assist with buyback and inventory.
- Support preparation of textbook ordering for faculty and staff.
- Train and schedule work-study students or part-time help.
- Library Services
- Assist with circulation desk coverage, checking in/out materials, and shelving.
- Provide support for library events and displays.
- Help maintain an organized and welcoming library environment.
- Assist in maintaining the library's inventory and digital catalog entries.
- Other duties as assigned to support efficient bookstore and library operations.
