**Job Summary:** We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing our inventory-related financial records, tracking costs, reconciling accounts, and providing valuable financial insights to support our decision-making processes. If you have a passion for numbers and a knack for organization, we would love to hear from you!**Key Responsibilities:** **Inventory Management & Financial Tracking:** - Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records while tracking food and beverage costs. - Reconcile inventory purchases, usage, and waste to ensure financial accuracy. - Analyze inventory trends to help identify cost-saving opportunities. **Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting:** - Record daily transactions related to inventory, ensuring proper documentation and categorization. - Generate and review financial reports to maintain data integrity. - Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes related to inventory purchases. **Compliance & Organization:** - Ensure compliance with company policies and financial best practices. - Collaborate with management to enhance inventory control processes and improve financial reporting efficiency. - Maintain organized and accessible inventory records. **Qualifications:** **Experience:** - Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality environment. - Proficiency in TOAST POS and QuickBooks is highly desirable. **Skills:** - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. - Ability to analyze data and identify trends in inventory and expenses. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. **Work Environment:** - This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days onsite at the restaurant and 1 day remote. - You will work in both an office and restaurant setting, collaborating with kitchen and management teams. - A flexible schedule is available, with the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
