Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Location: On-Site -Lower Manhattan

Status: Full-time/100% on-site

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000/annually

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper with proven experience in the hospitality industry to manage the full scope of day-to-day financial and accounting operations for a high-profile hospitality concept. This role requires expertise in QuickBooks Online, and a strong understanding of payroll processing, sales reporting, invoicing, expense management, credit card reconciliations, and general accounting administration.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to maintain the highest level of discretion and professionalism while working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including daily bookkeeping of revenue, expenses, and vendor transactions
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for hospitality staff, including tracking hours and submitting payments
• Perform daily sales reconciliation and credit card reconciliations across multiple platforms
• Record and manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice entry and payment scheduling
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and bank accounts on a regular basis
• Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reports, including sales data, revenue summaries, and expense tracking
• Support tax filing and compliance tasks, including documentation and sales tax reporting as needed
• Assist with general accounting administration and provide support to the finance team on special projects

Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Minimum 12 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or service industry
• QuickBooks Online proficiency is required

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
• Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
