Contract Bookkeeper Opportunity

Our client, in a reputable and established non-profit organization, is in need for a contract Bookkeeper to help with data entry/processing of invoices, as well as assisting in light reconciliations! They're located towards the central area of Tucson. This is a great opportunity for someone who has high attention to detail, organized, and able to see the big picture of how the numbers affect the organization. The ideal candidate can handle high volumes of data entry and invoicing while ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records. Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate data entry and bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online to ensure financial records are up-to-date.
  • Process and manage a high volume of invoices weekly, ranging from 200 to 250 invoices.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including tracking payments and managing outstanding balances.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify financial transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of financial transactions to support reporting and audits.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with established accounting practices and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or inconsistencies in financial data.
  • Generate reports and summaries to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Ensure timely completion of all bookkeeping tasks to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
  • Experience managing high volumes of invoices and transactions.
  • Proven ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and address financial inquiries.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract-based role.
