This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reporting, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounting processes, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping and accounting experience, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support leadership decision-making.
  • Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Generate invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Work closely with leadership to improve financial processes and increase efficiency.
  • Handle month end reconciliation
  • Communicate with and assist field managers on financial and budget matters

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Experience in the service, construction, or landscaping industries is a strong preference.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, financial reconciliation, payroll processing, and financial reporting. Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
  • Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive in problem-solving. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Someone who aligns with the company's core values.
  • Education & Certifications: associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred or relevant work experience. QuickBooks certification or equivalent experience is required.
