SUMMARY:

Growing law firm and title company seeks a driven and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Bookkeeper and support the finance and accounting department of both companies. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial departments.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist accounting team with data and journal entries and preparation of financial statements and weekly & monthly production, commission and financial reports.
  • Assist with processing all bank transactions: credit card payments, wires, deposits, and transfers.
  • Maintain accounting records involving payments, receipts, banking, vendor transactions and contracts.
  • Process vendor payments and maintain vendor files.
  • Provide front desk back-up support to the receptionist by answering phone and greeting clients as necessary.
  • Provide general administrative support in areas such as data collection, appointment calendaring, report distribution, event preparation, and list management as needed.
  • Provide general office management support as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
  • Assist with special projects, initiatives and other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate
  • Strong understanding of accounting practices
  • Detail oriented
  • Outstanding team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office a must
  • Clear national criminal background
