Bookkeeper/Financial AnalystZOE International is a Christian nonprofit whose mission is to reach every person withthe hope and love of Jesus through Leadership Training, Evangelism, Discipleship, andMissions, and to rescue every child from the atrocities of human trafficking throughPrevention, Rescue, and Restoration.

Position:Oversees ZOE International's Bookkeeping needs including but not limited to DonorProcessing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/ Cash-Flow Management, Billing,Journal entries and assists the HR/Payroll Departments as needed.

Reports ToAccounting Manager

Responsibilities● Process donor contributions utilizing Virtuous Donor System andQuickbooks○ Process and deposit checks and online (credit/debit) donations○ Verify, update & import credit/debit card donations into Virtuous○ Accurately track restricted contributions○ Conduct monthly reconciliations between Virtuous and Quickbooks and ensure proper categorization○ Manage donated stock options and gift-in-kind donations○ Send donor letters for in-kind donation receipts○ Manage grant income and expense○ Annually process donor tax receipts

● Accounts Payable Dutieso Process bills and invoices; ensure proper coding of all bills includingaccount number and classification.o Ensure prompt payment of bills/issue payments as neededo Respond to vendor inquirieso Manage credit card purchases and receipts (as needed)o Process monthly employee reimbursements; ensure receipts are receivedo Assist with month-end procedures as neededo Ensure proper receipt of vendor-related paperwork (1099 contracts,invoices, certificates of insurance, W9)o Annually process 1099 filing

● Cash Managemento Monthly bank reconciliationso Assists with tracking petty cash and gift card spending as neededo Manage cash reconciliations by classification or restricted fundo Provide weekly income spreadsheet to managemento Note: Karen to make the bank deposits on a weekly basiso Manage cash balances and reallocate/request transfer funds as neededo Oversee international transfers and submit request for transfers as needed Provide statements of missions/international account balances and donations received Record wires and transfers in Quickbooks

● Billingo Assist with monthly contract billing and receivables as neededo Notify manager of past due receivables

● Payrollo Record and manage payroll journal entrieso Process insurance payments and ensure correct payroll deductionso Provide payroll assistance as needed for bi-weekly payroll processing

● Generalo Research inquiries and assist staff/vendors/clients with any related needso Ensure proper filing and organization of ZOE related accountingo Manage Virtuous system and correct donor duplicateso Assist with special accounting projectso Assist with ensuring proper categorization of fixed assetso Assist with year-end reporting or audit requirements as neededo Attends staff meetings, events, and training sessions as directedo Provide support and assist with other duties as requestedo Collaborates on marketing campaigns/ donor development as neededo Annually box up prior-year files and prepare files for the current year

● Desired Skills○ Excellent interpersonal communication skills, email and phone etiquette○ Exhibits integrity and confidentiality in handling donations, cash receipts, and other confidential/financial matters○ Excellent organization and attention to detail○ Exhibits ZOE's Core Values

○ 3 years+ Accounting/ bookkeeping related experience (Non-profit a plus)○ Experience with QuickBooks and auditing compliance preferred

● Other:○ Physical requirements: sit for long periods of time, stand, lift up to 25lbs○ Must be available for full time work in Newhall, CA.○ Must be legally eligible for employment in the United States○ Benefits:Medical: 100% paid by the employeeRetirement: May contribute to a 403(b)Annual allowance of 48 hour of sick/personal time1 week vacation accrual for the first year of employment
