The employee performs a wide range of bookkeeping and administrative duties in support of department operations. Employee is required to perform all similar or related duties. The staff member oversees all office functions, warrant production, purchase orders, accounts payable and receivable, depositing and processing of Memorial, Annual Gift, Donations, Fines/Fees, Petty Cash, Room Booking Fees and Trust Funds. Executes biweekly payroll and maintains leave accrual documentation. The staff member acts as Administrative Specialist to the Library Director and is essential personnel. Examples of Duties:
Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 3-5 years related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Extensive knowledge of bookkeeping concepts and procedures, including the ability to learn and apply municipal accounting procedures. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and Internet, is required. Evergreen experience is preferred. Ability to learn library-specific software applications and technologies, including the automated circulation system. Bilingual a plus.
