Body and Closures Manager - Hyundai : Job Details

The Manager for Engineering Design Improvement is responsible for leading a team of Design Engineers within a specified Functional Area, executing the team's annual business plan. This plan focuses on improving Mass Production Quality, Warranty Claims, JD Power IQS, and Cost Reduction activities for North American produced Genesis, Hyundai, and KIA vehicles.

The successful candidate should have extensive automotive experience, capable of leading design improvements across all North American production vehicles to meet or surpass customer expectations. The role emphasizes lifecycle production, development of new technologies (e.g., Cost Reduction, Quality Improvement), and adherence to safety standards. Experience managing engineering personnel across multiple locations, overseeing technical budgets, and understanding OEM and Tier Supplier production methodologies are recommended.
