The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing services in Applied Behavior Analysis, function analyses and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, teaching social skills, and adaptive life skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing day-to-day case management for clients, including, but not limited to:
- provide ongoing training and supervision of staff on implementation of ABA principles and methodology and behavior reduction strategies with a balanced approach to discrete trial training and natural environment training models.
- Administer assessments including VB MAPP, PEAK, Vineland, ABLLS, Functional Assessments, and Functional Analysis
- Providing a minimum of 30 treatment hours per week for your clients. This can be a combination of 97153, 97155, and 97156
- Maintain ongoing communication with Caregivers regarding the child's progress and plan of care and provide a minimum of 1 hour per client of Monthly Caregiver training for consistency of treatment.
- Create and modify behavior plans and skill acquisition protocols by analyzing data using research based interventions with baseline, phase change lines, program instructions, and error correction procedures. BIPs will be available to technicians in Central reach.
- Document Treatment changes in Session notes and treatment plans.
- Effective programming that improves the overall quality of life for patients with demonstrated rate of progress by ensuring that implementation of the program plan is effective and properly carried out.
- Meet 10% supervision requirements for all staff assigned to each client in BCBA caseload
- Meet with supervised staff to discuss ongoing client barriers to progress and provide support when necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Special Education or related human services field; Successful completion of internship and/or formal training in the analysis of behavior and instructional strategies training related to working with clients who have autism spectrum disorder, developmental disorders, and related disorders.
- Collaborate with patients and their parents, and any other services related to supporting the patient.
- Ability to demonstrate competence in behavior management skill, instructional skills, oral and written communication, organizational skills, and interpersonal relations.
- Experience in administering ABLLS, VB-MAPP, preference assessments, and Functional Analyses.
- Ability to write effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), treatment plans for private insurance, parent training, staff training, and work with a variety of patients in regard to age, functionality, and with minimal direction.
- Certified as a BCBA per BACB board standards
- Knowledge of ABA strategies including but not limited to DTT programming, Incidental Teaching, Functional Communication Training, and implementation.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook systems. Ability to utilize a fax machine, phone system, and other office materials as necessary for the position.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
- Master's Degree in Special Education or related human services field
- Active BCBA Certification from the BACB
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance
- BLS certification
