The primary purpose of the Blood Gas Technologist position is to analyze expired gas and arterial, venous, or capillary blood samples by operating analyzers and other lab instruments. This position is responsible for routine service and maintenance of Blood Gas Laboratory instruments and operating them according to established policies, procedures, and CAP standards.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Medical Sciences, or a second-year student currently enrolled in a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy Program required.
• Graduate, Certified RCP, or Medical Laboratory Technician preferred.
• Knowledge of computer operation and good communication skills required.
