Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install new biomedical equipment by adjusting, establishing, testing, and calibrating to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure biomedical equipment complies with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Manage biomedical equipment inventories by anticipating needs, overseeing stock levels, and verifying deliveries.
- Provide operational guidance for biomedical equipment through demonstrations, training, and support to medical personnel.
- Maintain equipment functionality by conducting regular tests, adhering to maintenance schedules, and facilitating repairs as needed.
- Produce detailed reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends about equipment use and functionality.
- Update professional knowledge by engaging with continued education opportunities, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Ensure the confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Support and fulfill organizational goals by adapting to changing job requirements and participating in developmental activities.
- Promote a safe and healthy working environment by following standards and sanitization protocols, and training staff on these practices.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Associate degree in biomedical engineering or a related field.
- Experience with electronic and equipment repair.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient documentation and clinical lab testing skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification.
- Previous experience in a biomedical technician role.
