Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, IT Service Delivery, the Biomed Program Manager will have direct oversight of clinical equipment asset management, which is supported thru development and execution of a medical equipment management plan. The plan will be inclusive of a robust preventative maintenance and clinical equipment life cycle management program. Preventative maintenance routines assure clinical equipment remains safe and available for care and it is the responsibility of the Biomed Program Manager to assure maintenance is completed on time per schedule, with documentation well maintained. This includes vendor or manufacturer provided service. Regarding clinical equipment lifecycle management, the Biomed Program Manager, in collaboration with clinical, operational, IT, supply chain management, and facilities stakeholders will lead lifecycle planning and monitoring efforts, including the coordination and procurement process, with emphasis on standardization where possible.

Qualifications Required:

  • Associate degree, military training, academic work aligned with AAMI s Core Competencies for the Biomedical Equipment Technician or relevant work experience.
  • Three to five years (3-5) of biomedical equipment procurement, testing & preventative maintenance experience.
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of, and ability to communicate the use of devices supported.
  • Can provide or coordinate comprehensive support of equipment used for direct patient care.
  • Knowledge of with clinical outpatient operations and workflow.
  • Possesses understanding of local and national patient safety and regulatory issues
