Position Summary

RBCI is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to provide the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) with maintenance, repair, and calibration of a wide range of medical equipment to ensure safe and effective operation in clinical environments. This work is onsite at the Williamsburg, VA office. 5%-10% travel may be required.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of electronic systems, medical device functionality, and the principles of biomedical engineering
  • Understanding electronic circuitry, X-ray tube operations, and the integration of electrical, chemical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and gas systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and mechanical measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
  • Capable of interpreting technical specifications, regulations, and policy guidelines, and staying current with advancements in medical technology, network protocols, and vendor standards.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Completion of the Department of Defense (DoD) Biomedical Equipment Technician program, or an associate degree in Biomedical Electronics Technology or Electronics Technology, along with certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in in the biomedical field is required, including performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various types of medical and diagnostic equipment
  • A valid driver's license for operating up to a 1.5-ton stake bed truck and 4-6K forklifts for delivery operations.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.
