The BioMed Systems Engineer will be responsible for the management, integration, and optimization of biomedical technologies within our 4-hospital healthcare system. This role focuses on ensuring that solutions such as the Cynerio IoMT vulnerability management, Primex temperature management, RTLS solutions, and other biomedical systems are configured and secured to align with clinical workflows and hospital network standards. The engineer will provide oversight for application engineering, security configurations, and performance monitoring, ensuring these systems operate reliably and comply with industry regulations. Position Description MAJOR FUNCTION: The BioMed Systems Engineer will be responsible for the management, integration, and optimization of biomedical technologies within our 4-hospital healthcare system. This role focuses on ensuring that solutions such as the Cynerio IoMT vulnerability management, Primex temperature management, RTLS solutions, and other biomedical systems are configured and secured to align with clinical workflows and hospital network standards. The engineer will provide oversight for application engineering, security configurations, and performance monitoring, ensuring these systems operate reliably and comply with industry regulations. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: • Minimum of a Technical school certification. • Five years minimum in the computer industry. • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred. • working knowledge of network communications, equipment, wireless technology, desktop hardware and software. • Troubleshooting techniques and problem resolution. • Project Management experience leading IT projects a plus. Certification/ Licensure: • CCNA/CCNP or equivalent Certification Required Position Responsibilities • Manage, configure, and optimize our biomedical systems ie: IoMT vulnerability management, temperature management, and RTLS solutions. • Oversee the integration of biomedical technologies into the hospital's corporate or IoMT network, ensuring security and performance. • Conduct system performance assessments and implement improvements to ensure reliability and efficiency. • Collaborate with IT, Clinical Engineering, and other hospital departments to align biomedical systems with operational goals. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for biomedical systems, addressing connectivity and performance issues. • Lead or participate in projects for new technology implementations, upgrades, and system migrations. • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including FDA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards. • Train and support clinical and technical staff on the proper use and security of biomedical systems. • Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity risks associated with biomedical devices.
