Job Description :
Of Position: The Wildlife Biologist Assistant will be an active member of the Biology Program on Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge. This position will aid the refuge manager and biologist with monitoring and research activities intended to measure effects wildlife management techniques included but not limited to prairie restoration, wetland management, and invasive species control. Work is largely outdoors with some office work for data entry, summary and analysis. The Wildlife Biologist Assistant should have the willingness to adapt to varying levels of outdoor weather and conditions including sun, humidity, rain, cold, wind exposure and insects. Leadership opportunities include planning, scheduling sampling periods or management work, recruiting volunteers and execution of work. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate and execute native prairie seed harvest, processing and planting.
