BNP Associates is seeking an experienced BIM Technologist to join our team. This role is ideal for a technically skilled, detail-oriented professional with a solid background in drafting and Building Information Modeling (BIM). You will work closely with engineering project managers to develop detailed design and construction documents for airport baggage handling systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and contribute to project specific BIM Execution Plans
  • Be responsible for BHS Revit model setup when projects are initiated
  • Work closely with drafting staff and project managers to support the production and coordination of design documents
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams of the design
  • Produce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output
  • Maintain the BHS discipline models including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, matchlines, views, and sheets
  • Manage the production of models, drawings, and other outputs such as coordination exports, schedule exports
  • Monitor, improve, and maintain company standards and model health
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with architects, consultants, and other discipline modelers
  • Conduct QA/QC checks for alignment with company and project BIM standards
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of BIM standards, processes, libraries, and templates

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of BIM, project design phases, construction documentation, and engineering practices
  • Basic understanding of how various building design disciplines interact and coordinate in a multidisciplinary environment
  • AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) experience
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices (ISO 19650, NCS, etc..)
  • Experience developing custom scripts and automation using Dynamo, Python, or similar tools

Required Qualifications

  • Technical or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience authoring BIM elements in Revit
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

The successful candidate can be located in any one of BNP's offices at the following locations:

  • Dallas, TX
  • Denver, CO
  • Fairfield, CT
  • Tampa, FL

Projects that the successful candidate will participate in may require a federal background check and possible drug screening. Each applicant will be required to take a short skills assessment test for AutoCAD/Revit.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position based in any of our U.S. offices, including Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Tampa, and Fairfield. The role requires occasional travel to airports within the U.S. for site-based work as well as travel to architectural and engineering partners' offices. The successful candidate must pass criminal background checks and screening to obtain airport security badges.
  • Applicants for this position must possess the legal right to work in the U.S., proof of eligibility will be required as part of the application process.
  • Standard 40-hour work week with occasional additional time required to meet deadlines.

Salary

  • $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
