Billing Specialist - Vernon Memorial HealthCare : Job Details

In this new role, you will be responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, completing pre-authorizations for treatments and procedures, and preparing and submitting claims for Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and Provider-Based Rural Health Clinic (RHC) services. In this role, you'll monitor claim activity and ensure compliance with billing requirements for various payers using the claims clearinghouse. Your analytical skills will help maximize reimbursement through claim analysis, appeals, and dispute resolution. You'll handle payments, adjustments, documentation, and respond to patient billing inquiries. Additionally, you'll manage daily accounts in Epic, assign service codes, research disputed charges, and maintain accurate billing records.
