Billing Specialist - NY Staffing : Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated Billing Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility is to support municipal billing, with a flexible schedule starting at three days per week. However, if the right candidate prefers full-time work, we are open to making it a full-time opportunity. The ideal candidate comes from the skilled service-based industries such as HVAC, Electrical, Construction, Plumbing, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with data entry related to billing processes.
• Support municipal billing operations effectively.
• Submit certified payroll reports as required.
• Collaborate with a small team to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of billing experience.
• Proficiency in software like Excel and QuickBooks.
• Experience working with government, towns, villages, or schools.
• Background in trades industries such as HVAC, Electrical, Construction, Plumbing, etc.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Understanding of certified payroll reporting.

Work Environment:

This position is based in an office located in Westbury, within a small business environment. The office team comprises approximately 10 people, with this role being part of a smaller team of 3-4 members. Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
