Summary

The Finance Team is seeking a detail-oriented, client-focused Billing Specialist to support our growing organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation of numerous client profiles and the generation of recurring invoices within NetSuite, leveraging sales orders and billing schedules. In addition to onboarding new clients, you will also handle billing change orders as well as client churn processing. You will serve as a key point of contact for both internal and external billing inquiries, ensuring accurate and efficient billing operations. *If you are an intuitive, engaging individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and excels at maintaining exceptional attention to detail, this role is an excellent fit for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain client accounts in NetSuite, ensuring accurate entry of client data
  • Create recurring invoices in NetSuite, ensuring alignment with Master Service Agreements (MSAs), maintaining strict control over timing and accuracy
  • Research billing discrepancies and quickly address any issues delaying the billing process
  • Review and validate CRM entries entered by other team members to ensure data accuracy and support timely billing operations
  • Review and validate sales orders entered by other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to initiating billing workflows
  • Process upgrades, downgrades, add-ons, prorations, promotional discounts, credits, and other changes related to client billing
  • Effectively interact and communicate with clients (both internal and external) to resolve any billing issues in a timely manner, escalating complex issues to senior team members when necessary
  • Other tasks as needed to help the team meet objectives and requirements
About You:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of billing experience with NetSuite, ideally within a SaaS or subscription-based environment
  • Proven ability to succeed in a high-volume billing environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional accuracy known for consistently identifying and correcting errors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset
  • Confident, approachable and curious; not afraid to ask questions to gain clarity and support continuous learning
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively, effectively balancing multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative team player with an action-oriented, energetic approach
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SaaS contract terminology and subscription-based billing concepts
  • Solid understanding of NetSuite Sales Orders and CRM functionality
  • Experience in managing an assigned Salesforce case queue is highly beneficial and will contribute to effectiveness in this role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Desired Qualifications

  • An Associates degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent practical experience or relevant certifications will also be considered
