We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Billing Coordinator to join the accounting team. The ideal candidate will excel in a professional, team-oriented environment. The role requires excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

DUTIES :
  • Manage daily operations of accounts receivable, billing, and client relations.
  • Coordinate and complete the monthly billing cycle, including processing invoices for specific practice groups and on-demand invoices.
  • Ensure timely preparation of billing and collection statements.
  • Maintain accurate information in the firm's time and billing system.
  • Update attorneys' rates, complete billing adjustments, and update matter frequencies before billing.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to address emails and correspondence promptly.
  • Monitor and apply unapplied and WIP balances.
  • Provide management with regular status reports on billing, cash receipts, and transactions.
  • Maintain an organized electronic imaging system (Expert Image).
  • Assist management in implementing new technology and standard operating procedures for billing.
  • Follow documented accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS :
    • An Associate's Degree in Accounting with five or more years of related experience in accounting procedures, billing, and client relations.
    • Law firm experience required.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
    • Experience with Aderant Expert or similar legal software; proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
