Are you passionate about orthodontics and ready to join a team dedicated to creating smiles? We are looking for a Treatment Coordinator to be a vital part of our team. This role serves as a key representative of our practice, engaging with patients and their families to guide them on their orthodontic journey.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Optimizing treatment acceptance by clearly explaining costs, insurance coverage, and financing options.
- Communicating effectively with patients and families about treatment plans and timelines, ensuring all questions and concerns are addressed.
- Presenting financing options and assisting patients in managing the affordability of their care.
- Performing administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and submitting insurance paperwork.
- Providing technical assistance when needed, including operating X-ray machines and supporting clinical tasks (if certified).
- Encouraging referrals from satisfied patients and tracking feedback on their experiences.
- Upholding the highest integrity by adhering to all regulations and compliance standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of one year of orthodontic or related experience.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous sales experience, comfortable discussing costs and payment plans.
- Strong responsiveness to patient inquiries and follow-ups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of orthodontic techniques and treatment processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Treatment Coordinator in a dental setting, preferably with a background in orthodontics.
- 3+ years of sales or customer service experience.
- Knowledge of dental insurance and payment collection processes.
- X-Ray certification and CPR certification.
- Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish, are highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to:
- Effectively communicate and exchange information with patients, parents, clinicians, and staff.
- Operate standard office equipment and computers.
- Lift/carry up to 30 lbs and perform physical movements such as twisting, turning, bending, and stooping.
The majority of work will be conducted in a clinical setting, which may require extended hours during busy periods. Work hours may adjust to meet business needs.
