Big Data Architect - Bluestone Software : Job Details

blueStone Recruiting is a national search firm focused on placing top Web and Applications talent, from Analyst level to Directors of Networking and Infrastructure, with prestigious organizations nationwide.

We are working with a large financial company seeking a professional who has designed solutions or architectures, and has experience transitioning from current to future state architectures, including the design of services integration layers or data integration layers.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in end-to-end data solutions, implementing and designing comprehensive information solution architectures. They should possess executive presence and the ability to interact effectively with the executive client suite. Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.

Deep proven ability to successfully create and manage data solutions and implementations in a Big Four consulting environment is required. The candidate should be capable of providing alternative solutions to solve specific or strategic problems, utilizing a skill set that includes:

• Data transformations, solutions architecture, data integration, data warehousing, big data solutions, in-memory data solutions, data platform optimization and performance, vendor platform familiarity, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Data management solutions such as reference and master data management, unstructured data solutions, and content management.
• Platform and data usage-specific data modeling disciplines and techniques, with experience in methodologies like BMPN, TOGAF, CBM, BIAN, Zachman, BMBOK, among others.
• Data integration solutions, including ETL design, messaging, and batch processing.
• Data processing experience with Hadoop/MapReduce, SQL MPP, in-memory processing (e.g., GemFire), analytics processing, OLAP, NoSQL, and federated SQL.
• Service platforms including cloud computing, PaaS, SaaS, virtual data storage solutions, and related integrations.
• BI and data analytics skills, including reporting, OLAP, dashboards, and predictive analytics platforms.

Master's Degree is required.
