BI Specialist - Dal-Tile Distribution : Job Details

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Business Intelligence Analyst to join our TEAM! As the Business Intelligence Analyst, we need someone ready to provide a variety of support, such as collaborating with business customers and performing data analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

• Work closely with our customers to understand business processes/business questions and act as a trusted advisor to reach an ideal Business Intelligence solution that delivers value.

• Integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive and cohesive datasets for analysis.

• Facilitate discussions to gather and document requirements for Business Intelligence solutions within an environment primarily focused on data warehousing and self-service reporting.

• Collaborate with Domo BI team and source system teams.

• Perform data analysis (using SQL, data profiling tools, and reporting tools) to facilitate requirements gathering, support testing, as well as to troubleshoot production issues.

• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

• Develop and implement data models for effective reporting and analysis.

• Develop and utilize dashboards effectively.

• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science

• 2+ years of relevant experience in a business intelligence business analysis role within a data warehousing/data mart environment OR 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/planning with a focus on systems, data analysis, and reporting.

• Experience using SQL or a similar query tool for performing detailed data analysis.

• Domo Business Intelligence experience required

• SAP experience preferred

• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with technical teams as well as business customers.

• Ability to quickly identify and analyze risks and impacts, define alternatives, determine prioritization, and remove roadblocks.

• Ability to work independently.

• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with the team and internal customers.

• Highly motivated self-starter.
