UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full Time Bereavement & Spiritual Support Coordinator to support the Clinical Care Coordination department!
This position will work daylight hours Monday through Friday an annual remembrance ceremony on the weekend or evening. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
The Bereavement & Spiritual Support Coordinator is responsible for providing direct chaplaincy services to patients in concert with established spiritual programs as well as supervising the spiritual and bereavement programs and delivery of related services. They provide counseling and emotional support to the active and bereaved patient/family units and staff.
Responsibilities:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university OR Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience, with additional experience from a medical, education, or service agency. Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health, and/or Counseling preferred. Documented experience dealing with grief and bereavement required.
