Bereavement Counselor - Hospice of Cincinnati - TriHealth : Job Details

This position is responsible for providing individual, family and group counseling for Hospice of Cincinnati bereaved family members/caregivers as well as bereaved clients from the community. The Bereavement Counselor provides short term supportive grief counseling based upon bereaved's grief issues and concerns. Bereavement Counselors facilitate a variety of grief support groups which vary in length of time as well as issue complexity. This position works closely with the community and develops, nurtures and utilizes collegial relationships with community professionals to use as a referral source for clients when grief is no longer a primary issue. Participates in planning, coordination, implementation and management of programming activities necessary to support the mission of the Goldstein Grief Center. Other duties may include follow-up for bereaved who have been designated as high risk and other duties as assigned.
