Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

Our company is growing and we are hiring a Benefits Specialist who plays a crucial role in managing employee benefits programs within an organization. We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate who is interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector. Responsibilities

  • Benefits Administration: Administer various employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, and other perks.
  • Enrollment and Onboarding: Facilitate the enrollment process for new hires, including explaining benefit options, assisting with paperwork, and ensuring timely enrollment.
  • Communication: Communicate benefits information to employees through various channels such as presentations, emails, and one-on-one consultations. Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding benefits.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits programs. Ensure that benefits programs comply with legal requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with benefit plan providers, insurance carriers, and other vendors to manage benefits programs effectively. Negotiate contracts and agreements as necessary.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations. Prepare reports and analyze data related to benefits usage and costs.
  • Employee Education: Conduct educational sessions and workshops to help employees understand their benefits options and make informed decisions.
  • Problem Resolution: Assist employees in resolving issues related to their benefits coverage, claims, or eligibility.
To be a qualified candidate you must have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Some employers may require or prefer a master's degree or relevant certifications such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in benefits administration is required. Experience with benefits software and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) may be preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits. Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations such as ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.

  • Ability to analyze benefits data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improving benefits programs or controlling costs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for building relationships with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders. Empathy and patience are particularly important when addressing employee concerns.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical for managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and paperwork associated with benefits administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive employee information and making decisions related to benefits programs.
