Position Overview

We are seeking two highly motivated Benefits Eligibility Representatives to join our team in Cerritos, CA. In this role, you will play a critical part in evaluating insurance eligibility, securing authorizations, and supporting compliance efforts for acute infusion referrals. You will act as a liaison between external providers, insurance carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for new referrals
• Notify patients, physicians, account executives, and internal teams of any delays, issues, or updates in authorization status
• Prepare and update Financial Obligation Notifications (FOBs), particularly when there are changes to insurance coverage or plans
• Maintain accurate records in the system and handle co-insurance payments as needed
• Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to address claim denials, outstanding balances, or payment discrepancies
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other healthcare compliance regulations throughout the authorization and intake process

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of experience in insurance verification, intake, authorizations, or eligibility processes
• Previous experience in the home health, infusion, or medical field strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of healthcare compliance practices and guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
