ProSidian is seeking a Benefits Compensation Program Review Consultant - GSSC (Contract Position - Time and Materials) to support an engagement with the US Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford site. Preferred candidates will have relevant Government, Public Sector, and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) experience, including functional area expertise.

Objective: The review aims to ensure the HMIS compensation program attracts and retains competent and productive employees, facilitating DOE mission achievement in a cost-effective manner. The contract should demonstrate evidence of DOE-approved standards in its Total Compensation System.

Responsibilities:
  • Compensation philosophy and strategy: Review policy and strategy statements for consistency and effectiveness; assess use of surveys, attrition rates, offer/acceptance statistics, and pay delivery programs.
  • Job worth hierarchy system: Validate use of job evaluation and assess the value hierarchy.
  • Market relation system: Examine benchmark jobs against survey descriptions and review survey sources for appropriateness.
  • Performance linkage system: Review performance reviews, linkages between ratings and pay increases, and salary adjustments for promotions and hires.
  • Financial planning and monitoring: Review processes for managing compensation funds and critical skills needs.
  • Legal compliance system: Verify complaints, litigation, and compliance audits related to HR compensation issues.
  • Communication system: Review methods of communicating compensation policies to employees and assess understanding.
  • Internal controls and self-assessment: Review reports, exception approval processes, and compliance with DOE requirements; analyze turnover and exit surveys.
  • The candidate must have recent relevant employment, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to communicate effectively. Minimum qualifications include:

    • 10 years of experience in human resources and compensation.
    • Professional certifications preferred (e.g., SHRM, IFEBP, WorldatWork).
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • U.S. Citizenship and full vaccination against COVID or valid exemption.
    Additional Requirements:
    • Ability to travel occasionally.
    • Work location near Hanford, WA.
