Position: Behavioral Health Therapist Reports To: Client Treatment Coordinator Beginning Pay Range: $49,920.00-$55,250.00

About this Opportunity:

The Behavioral Health Therapist is a trained professional who works with clients under the age of 18 either in an individual, family, or group setting for the purpose of helping them to understand and manage a wide range of developmental and behavioral issues. When working with Behavioral Health Service clients, the Therapist will focus on meeting the mental health needs of the children and families by providing in home therapy, connecting families to other mental health resources that best meets their need or providing individual therapy in an office setting. This position may also support Enhanced Foster Care cases as needed, working with foster parents to stabilize children in care. Focus of treatment can include depression, anxiety, child abuse effects, harming oneself, eating disorders, phobias, aggression and other symptoms or difficulties in behavior and feelings. The therapist helps children assess their issues by observing their behaviors and assessing what treatments will best benefit the child.

Would you like to help us accomplish our mission as a Behavioral Health Therapist (Master's level)?

Our ideal candidate will have a Master's degree required in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy. Must be licensed to practice mental health therapy in the state of Michigan. If temporary or limited licensed, must be completing steps towards full license. Must possess a strong knowledge of child development and be trauma informed. Knowledge related to foster and adopted children and families is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license.
