About the Company

Our client is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one behavioral support to a 5th grade male student with intellectual disability, traumatic brain injury, and behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will be consistent, empathetic, and skilled in implementing behavior intervention strategies.

About the Role

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will provide essential support to students, ensuring their behavioral needs are met effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily behavioral support tailored to the student's needs
• Assist with functional behavior assessments and data collection
• Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans
• Document behavioral incidents and progress
• Use approved de-escalation techniques during crisis situations
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff
• Support communication with families regarding behavioral goals
• Encourage peer interaction and classroom participation
• Participate in professional development related to behavioral health

Qualifications

• Required:
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and commitment to student success

• Preferred:
• Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and behavioral disorders
• Crisis intervention training (e.g., CPI, Safe Crisis Management)

Required Clearances and Certifications

• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (within 1 year)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance for Pennsylvania (within 1 year)
• Pennsylvania State Police Background Check (within 1 year)
• Tuberculosis (TB) Test (within 3 months)
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate

Pay range and compensation package

$23-26/hr (based on experience)
