This care coordination, in turn, supports clinical tele-behavioral health, holistic wellness, navigational advocacy and family stability, and thus helps individuals thrive in their career and family life.

Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Specialist will be responsible for providing mental and behavioral health support services to military service members. Acting as a subject matter expert regarding behavioral health requirements and regulations, the BHS will perform Mental Health Assessments (MHA) and Post Deployment Health Re-Assessments (PDHRA).

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct Mental Health Assessments (MHA) and Post Deployment Health Re-Assessments (PDHRA) through telehealth portal in a remote call center environment.
  • Triage and manage client contact including referrals to other resources if necessary.
  • Complete required documentation associated with all MHA and PDHA assessments.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Master s degree or higher from accredited institution.
  • Active state license to practice independently in mental health.
  • Social Workers (LSW/LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Counselors (LPC)
    • Minimum 2 years experience providing mental and behavioral health services.
    • Ability to work effectively in a remote setting with little supervising, while achieving quality goals.
    • Experience working with electronic health records and databases, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
    • Must have the ability to obtain SF86 Position of Trust.

    Supervising Others: No

    Hours and Shift:

    • Part Time Only
    • 1099 Contract
    • Possibility for after hours and weekends

    Travel:

    • Less than 10%
