Position OverviewThe Behavioral Health Specialist supports the Outpatient Adult and Adolescent milieus by facilitating therapeutic skills and activity groups, providing therapeutic meal support at mealtimes and snacks, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, and providing general support and assistance.Schedule: PRN - Supporting program times primarily between 9am-3 pm Monday- Thursday, and Friday 8am-2pm. 2 Shifts per month minimumAdditional Shifts can be picked up between 1pm-7pm Monday-Thursday with Manager approval.Location: On-site required in Spokane: 2020 E 29th Ave #200, Spokane, WA 99203Additional Virtual support as required. How Behavioral Health Specialists (BHS's) Empower RecoveryFacilitates therapy groups including skills groups, self-monitoring groups, and experiential activity groups which may include art activities, music, journaling, mindfulness, relaxation, and movementParticipates in therapeutic supported meals and snacksContributes to the creation and maintenance of a recovery-oriented therapeutic environmentParticipates in treatment team, mini team, therapy team, supervision, and/or case consultation meetings and seeks supervision when neededCompletes clinical documentation in compliance with The Emily Program and Veritas policies and regulatory standardsQualifications•Bachelor's Degree in mental health-related field required.
