The Psych Tech provides a variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for assigned patients. Essential Job Duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provides designated patient care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with physicians' orders and in conformance with approved patient care standards; as well as, recording graphics, intake and output, and ADL's in the computer and flow sheet accurately. Obtain instruction and supervision as necessary when implementing nursing procedures or practices; as well as, performing specified patient care activities based on previously acquired nursing skills with consultation and notification of the licensed nurse responsible for patient. This may include incontinent care and assisting with bathing and meals.
