Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field
  • Preferred two years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Preferred one year of experience in health insurance or managed care
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to meet and uphold departmental quality and performance standards
  • Strong follow-up skills for tasks and assignments
  • Professional documentation skills for communications
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse staff
  • Proficiency in prioritization, multitasking, and adapting to organizational changes
  • Acuriosity that fosters innovation and a desire for growth
  • Humility and teamwork commitment
  • A dedication to making a positive impact in every customer interaction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter all notifications of admission for in-network hospitals into MVP's medical management system
  • Identify and assign cases needing concurrent review to the appropriate Behavioral Health UM Clinician
  • Communicate with hospital staff to assess admission and discharge status
  • Enter timely discharges to support transitions of care
  • Assist providers with MVP's transition of care program
  • Obtain and provide referrals for in-network providers
  • Collaborate with Behavioral Health clinicians
  • Support Behavioral Health Care Management staff for member-initiated out-of-network requests
  • Help members seeking care from behavioral health providers with referrals
  • Assist in preparing materials for regulatory presentations, meetings, and audits
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
  • Contribute to our collective goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and making a difference for customers.
