Greater Seacoast Community Health (GSCH) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the intake process for behavioral health services, ensuring a seamless experience for the patients of Goodwin Community Health, a community health center located in Somersworth, New Hampshire. Goodwin is a part of a network of Federally Qualified Health Centers providing clinical and nonclinical services to vulnerable populations in Southeastern New Hampshire and Southern Maine. The Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator will conduct behavioral health screenings, coordinate and schedule appointments, and collaborate with the behavioral health team to facilitate the delivery of quality care. Job Duties • Conduct initial behavioral health screenings to understand clients' behavioral health needs • Coordinate and schedule intake appointments for new behavioral health patients • Collaborate with behavioral health and medical staff • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and internal teams • Provide information on available behavioral health services and community programs • Maintain confidentiality • Participate in regular team and agency meetings and trainings Education Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field required. Experience Proven experience in behavioral health or a similar role Other • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required • Experience with electronic health records preferred • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient interactions The ideal candidate will also have: • Ability to work harmoniously with coworkers and patients • Experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations • Excellent communication and listening skills • Strong clinical and assessment skills Practice Administrative experience a plus.
