Job Title: Behavioral Health Business Development – Territory Representative

Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and relationship-focused Business Development Territory Representative to lead outreach and referral growth efforts across a designated territory. This role is focused on developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with behavioral health providers, hospitals, community organizations, and referral sources to drive patient admissions to our continuum of care services including Detox, Residential Treatment (RTC), MH Primary RTC PHP, and IOP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Territory Management & Outreach
- Identify, prioritize, and engage referral partners including mental health clinics, hospitals, private practices, crisis centers, and primary care providers
- Plan and execute regular visits, events, and presentations across the assigned territory
- Manage and grow a robust referral pipeline to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly admissions goals
- Relationship Building
- Establish strong, trust-based relationships with clinicians, administrators, and community stakeholders
- Provide education on program services, clinical strengths, admissions criteria, and processes
- Serve as a resource and advocate for referral partners and their clients
- Strategy & Reporting
- Analyze territory trends and adjust outreach strategy to maximize impact
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation, track KPIs and referral activity
- Participate in weekly business development meetings and collaborate with clinical/admissions teams
- Brand Representation
- Represent the organization professionally at conferences, community events, and networking opportunities
- Promote brand awareness through targeted campaigns and marketing efforts in the field
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of business development, outreach, or marketing experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or substance use disorder (SUD) treatment settings
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health systems and referral networks
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales/outreach performance metrics
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in behavioral health admissions or case management
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platforms
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus depending on region
