Behavior Support Specialist - INTERMEDIATE UNIT 1 : Job Details

Position Type: Behavior Support Specialist Date Posted: 8/18/2025 Location: Various-Fayette, Greene, and Washington Counties Closing Date: 10/01/2025 This position provides support services for children being referred to or currently enrolled in the Early Intervention program who are demonstrating behaviors of concern. This position assists with program development, provides consultation to staff, and serves as a facilitator for teachers, therapists, families, and caregivers in the implementation and evaluation of interventions for children with challenging behaviors. Requirements include the following:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education.
• Pennsylvania Department of Education Special Education Teaching Certification in accordance with Certification Staffing Policy Guidelines (CSPG 61).
• Additional Pennsylvania Department of Education Early Childhood Education Certification preferred (CSPG 69).
• Behavior Specialist License in Pennsylvania, preferred.
• Working towards Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, preferred.

The salary for this position is in accordance with the professional collective bargaining agreement. EOE.
