Position Type: Student Support Services Date Posted: 6/17/2025 Location: Special Services Department Date Available: 07/01/2025 DEPARTMENT/SITE: Special Education Services - Central Office QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field. Extensive experience designing and monitoring behavior management programs for children. Familiarity with school based programming. Good communication skills and ability to work with students, family members, school staff and community agencies. Documented ability to coordinate the activities of others involved in a program and monitor outcomes. Knowledge of various behavior management techniques and the ability to teach others those management skills. Supervisory role in previous position. REPORTS TO: Special Services Director SUPERVISES: N/A JOB GOAL: Coordinate and provide behavior management techniques for teachers, parents and students district wide. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Communicate with principals, teachers, parents, students, district staff and other agency behavior management and positive behavior techniques. 2. Coordinate and monitor behavior plans and functional behavior assessments. 3. Develop and monitor token economy systems for students and classroom. 4. Collaborate with other agencies to coordinate services for students and families. 5. Provide counseling services for students. 6. Monitor Behavior Support Team records for accuracy and follow-up. 7. Assist with the Positive Behavior Intervention Support as needed. 8. All other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 220 days. Salary for this position shall be commensurate with the years of experience as determined under the policies and procedures of the Moss Point School District and in accordance with the pay scale. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Trustee's policy on evaluation of District personnel.
