Title: Behavioral Intervention Specialist

Location: Nanuet, NY

Salary: $27.50+ per hour (some flex depending on experience and qualifications)

Overview: Well established non-profit, specializing in disability services seeks a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• The primary role of the Behavior Intervention Specialist is the development, implementation, and monitoring of person-centered behavioral support plans.
• The Behavior Intervention Specialist will also provide individual/ group counseling sessions, as per the needs of the individuals residing in homes.
• Staff training and support will also be required to ensure staff are successful in meeting the behavioral needs of our residential individuals.
• The Behavior Intervention Specialist reports to the Director of Psychological Services.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in a clinical or treatment field in psychology, social work, school psychology, or a related human services field.
• LMSW preferred
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Excellent writing skills, good people skills, must be well organized, self-starter able to work with a minimal level of direct supervision.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets agency insurance company driving requirements.
• Must be able to drive and use own vehicle for business purposes.
