Behavior Support Paraprofessional - Pillar Falls Elementary Pillar Falls Elementary is seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavior Support Paraprofessional to assist students with behavioral and emotional needs. This role involves working closely with the school counselor, administration, and teachers to implement behavior plans, support student success, and foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities - Support students by implementing behavior plans and monitoring progress.
- Collaborate with staff to address behavior concerns and promote positive behavior.
- Assist students in classrooms and during transitions to ensure safety and consistency.
- Lead social skills groups and support recess as needed.
- Assist with conflict resolution and crisis intervention.
- Maintain records and participate in team meetings and school-wide behavior initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development in behavior management.
Qualifications - Experience working with children in education or behavioral support.
- Strong understanding of child development and behavior strategies.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and build positive relationships.
- Knowledge of behavior support practices, laws, and regulations.
