AFSC's BDS Research Analyst initiates, crafts, guides, and carries out strategic corporate research projects in collaboration with program staff across the AFSC, BDS movement allies globally, and AFSC partners, to promote AFSC's BDS advocacy goals and support BDS on the local, national, and international levels. The BDS Research Analyst responds to information queries, manages the Investigate information center project website, and works with others to design and maintain the Investigate project.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Initiate, lead, craft, and participate in the Action Center's research projects. This includes the coordination of collaborative research project with multiple partners or the in-depth strategic analysis of BDS corporate targets.
  • Represent and promote the Action Center's BDS work within AFSC networks, movement coalitions, and professional networks.
  • Initiate, lead, support, and participate in corporate accountability and divestment campaigns. Create and produce educational and training materials and toolkits for BDS campaigns.
  • Lead, support, and participate in Action Center activities as needed, including training, educational events, and other activities.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Operates safely in all conditions and follows policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required showing corresponding research and writing skills required. Graduate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year in leadership BDS Campaigns required.
  • Preference to candidates with two years of experience in strategic corporate research.
  • Strategic corporate research and BDS activism preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and to travel, as
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience with standard Microsoft Office and related technology.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with diverse staff.

Compensation:

The AFSC offers a competitive Total Rewards package. This position is Exempt. Salary Family: Global Cohesion Job Code Policy Associate 2. Minimum Starting Salary $56,000. Comprehensive medical and hospitalization plan; term life, Short Term Disability & Long Term Disability, defined benefit pension plan, 403b match, plus other benefits including vacation, Paid Time Off, sabbaticals, extended leaves, holiday's.
