The firm is seeking a BDC Controller to oversee financial operations as it expands its middle market direct lending platform. Job Responsibilities:

• Own and manage all aspects of BDC Financial Reporting, overseeing the fund administrator and the financial close
• Manage valuation process directly with third-party valuation providers
• Support preparation and presentation to the Audit Committee and Board
• Manage tax provider and oversee RIC tax compliance calculations
• Own and manage financial forecast for BDC, shared with senior management and used for investor presentation
• Manage liquidity forecast, investment fundings, activities, capital calls, and distributions
• Support enhancement and implementation of SOX 404 control processes, with a potential IPO planned
• Manage external audit process
• Manage investor requests for financial data, performance updates, and reporting materials
• Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual reports, and capital call/distribution notices
• Collaborate with investor relations and capital formation teams to support fundraising and investor due diligence

• CPA, 9-12+ years of experience
• Direct experience managing BDC regulatory requirements and SEC reporting
• Ability to build, develop, and implement processes as the business grows and scales
• Ability to project manage and optimize process and efficiency
• Agile work professional, adept at quickly adapting to changes in the business and information requests
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with investors, auditors, and senior executives
