We have an exciting opportunity for a Battery Reserve Project Manager/Engineer/Test to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.
If selected, you will:
Serve as a Project and Test Engineer with some Project Management responsibilities within the EP5 Power Systems Branch Battery Team. This team evaluates candidate battery cells and packs for space environments. It is a small, collaborative team responsible for crafting battery safety requirements, evaluation methods, and coordinating with NASA programs and industry partners to provide guidance and assistance. Your tasks will include test development, hardware design, modeling, procurement, cell screening, hardware upgrades, test assembly, hardware delivery, and battery assessments. Travel up to 10%, including international travel, may be required.
